Yoga
Teacher of Vinyasa Yoga and Pranayama
The more I teach yoga, the more I learn. I look forward to each new turn and insight along my journey. Yoga (in the full sense) has become my guide in life - showing me the way to self-acceptance and true freedom.
A regular yoga practice will offer remarkably effective relief from stress and trauma (which is stored in the body), improve energy levels and quality of sleep, as well as foster a positive outlook in life. Vibrant health and calmness of mind are further benefits of bringing awareness into the body through movement. Paying attention to our breath by learning breathing techniques empowers us to regain control in stressful situations. We take agency for our own health and wellbeing again ~ it is a powerful reconnection to our true selves.
In my personal life, practicing yoga and pranayama has calmed my thoughts, strengthened my body and guided me to acceptance of myself. It has gifted me peace that I had not before thought possible.

70-hour TT Course in Therapeutic Somatics for Yoga Teachers with Charlotte Watts
My teacher training included a comprehensive knowledge of the poses/asana used in Vinyasa sequencing and the anatomy involved in these poses. We studied breathing techniques as well as the philosophy and history of yoga. I continue on my learning journey by practicing yoga as a student and reading many books about yoga, wellness, breathwork and happiness. I gather words and search for a richness in my teaching vocabulary so that I may better express the healing power of connection between our bodies, minds and spirit.
