About
As far back as I can remember I have asked for sketch book, pencils or paints for all my birthdays & Christmases. I have found (and still do) joy in expressing myself through art. I am an obsessively creative soul.
I have delighted in being creative with any medium at my disposal: paper mache, crochet, wire sculpture, sewing, knitting, woodwork, leatherwork, jewellery making, beading, huge acrylic canvases, watercolour illustrations for a story etc.. etc.. I completed a degree in fine arts after leaving school a long time ago and have enjoyed painting whenever I could find pockets of time whilst raising my family. Now that my children are grownups, I have time to do more art and look forward to indulging my creativity again.
The vibrant colours and forms of nature inspire me. I particularly enjoy creating texture and movement in my work and feel that I grow and learn with each new creative process, combining different materials and techniques to capture just the right moments in my illustrations.
When I am not painting, I enjoy yoga, walking or paddle boarding with my dog, Tombi,
and spending time with my family.
