When we had more time in our days, it was usual for a mother, or grandmother to stitch a 'Sampler' to mark the birth of a baby. These included a sample alphabet and number range, the babies full name and birth details, and other images of the home & family life.

I enjoy painting commissions, which have mostly been pet portraits, paintings of homes or school buildings, and some landscapes. These are often commissioned to celebrate farewell, retirement, birthday or anniversary occasions.
